a letter to my snowbird friend

Dear Kathryn,

Now I see why you moved to the east mountains - so you wouldn't have to go to work tonight. I wish I lived just a little higher. Alas, we just successfully shoveled our cars out, so I am good to go.

You enjoy your day by the fire with hot chocolate and warm blankets while I'm doing fundus checks and dexes and crits on YOUR patients. Oh...and you wouldn't HAVE to miss me if you'd just put on some damn skis. Aren't you from Michigan? Like you've never been in 20 inches of snow.

I miss you, too.

Love,
Jill

p.s. don't tell anyone at work what I'm really like

people who don't have blogs or who live in glass blogs shouldn't throw stones at my blog. (what the fuck was that saying?)

i wanted to remember the snow. this is how i'm gonna remember my life in nursing school, when i don't know any of you anymore because i pack up my kids and move far far away from...

oh nevermind.

you are free to guest blog any old time you want.

and yes, that puppy is stuffed. as is his owner.

Kudos to you Jill for not letting others rule your blog! Write on girl! :)

Anyways, sorry you had to take care of MY patients. I'll bet they missed me. I was literally snowed in Fri, Sat and most of Sun. Can we say CABIN FEVER?! I almost proposed to our plow guy! 225 feet of driveway cleared and I'm outta here! Still waiting for my new snow shoes and sled to arrive from Vermont! Then nothing can hold me down!! Go on, snow you bastard!! I'm not bitter....
