the night of sammie
Well, thanks to Sammie, I survived my night as charge nurse in the nursery. As one of the pink ladies said over coffee the next morning, I rocked the fucking thing out. Well, ok...it was pretty slow...3 admits in the first hour of the shift and then not another one until 6:30 am. However, we did keep one of those first admits in the nursery til 4 am while troubleshooting a high fever, among other weird symptoms.
I made an offer on a house last night. It's perfect for the whole family. Oh and Radha, there IS a pool, but unfortunately according to the property disclosure, it was "filled in" back in 2002. But I think I might call someone with a backhoe and find out how much it would cost to dig it out.
Think good thoughts...

You are a charge nurse already? Crap Jill, that gives me the shivers just thinking about it, slow or not. I'll just worry about the NCLEX for now thank you very much. You rock!
only in the newborn nursery, and only on occasion. everyone works in the nursery as charge from time to time, so it's not really that big of a coup.
when's the big day?
Freakin over achiever. I’m sooooo proud of you!!! It’s so strange to think of our lives only a year ago, huh? I don’t think Jane (of jane’s addiction) suits you at all. Wonder Woman, on the other hand is perfect. You need a cape;)
not only do i need a cape, i need some boxes. stat!
